Bamboo floors
We are thinking of installing bamboo floors in our basement. we went to Lowes and are getting a quote from them. Anyone have another source I can investigate both to buy the bamboo and to have installed?

lumber liquidators
- there is a showroom around 17th I think (just above union square), and of course one across the road from Lowes brooklyn - (there's also a smaller non chain floor guy near lowes that has a good range of bamboo as well).
Cheers,
Dean

Wood is not the best choice installing below grade.

Check IFLOOR.com & LumberLiquidators.com, they usually beat Lowes & Home Depot. I can provide you with samples from Century Flooring and also install for $5.00 Per SQ FT.

I agree with denton, Please be advised that the flooring you pick has to go with the environment for which the product is more suited for. Bamboo, wood, and or laminates, Are not water proof and unforeseen flooding or excess water can damage your product beyond repair.
