Woodstrippers around Park Slope
Good afternoon !
The woodwork in my appartment (mouldings, windows) has (as usual) been covered with layers of paint. I started to strip it myself but realizes that I don't have enough time. Would anyone recommend a good (and not to expensive) company that could give me first an estimate of the stripping cost ? Thanks, Julien

I must say that I was very pleased with the expensive woodwork from Joe from Woodzone. Very reasonably priced.

The best Wood Strippers in Park Slope are DeGamba Stripping, they are located on 7th Street in Park Slope, they have done a lot of work for us in the past, they do it all from Moldings to furniture. See their webpage at
http://degambastripping.com/
or call (718) 499-5788
They are the best priced & provide the best quality work.
Tell them Casey from 305 7th Street recommended them, speak to John Degamba JR.

I agree We had John DeGamba do our banister and doors in our house and it was a wonderful job at a good price.

The quote we received from DeGamba was twice we ended up paying for the wood stripping of our house. The guys we used are reachable at 646 420 6572 (I am embarrased to say that the name is escaping me). We were very happy with them.

joe salem form woodozone did the stripping and refinishing along with lots of repairs and replacement of some wood in my apt. in park slope. I had him come in to finish the mess that was started by some else.. it took a little longer than expected but in the end it came out great . his # 718-755-6527.

I concur with the recommendations of Joe Salem at Woodzone. Reasonably priced. Good work. He stripped doors and window casings for us, and finished/restored newels.

South slope woodworkers on 3rd ave are very good. Ask for a guy named Dean.
