Post-Construction Cleaners

The plaster ceiling in my daughter's room collapsed a few weeks ago. She, very luckily, was not in the room at the time, and we are now in the process of having it fixed, but dust from the collapse has gotten into almost everything in our house. I'm assuming that there is lead paint involved here, and am hoping that someone can recommend a good post-construction cleaning service. I want to make sure everything is as safe as it can be before we move back in.

Try Big Apple Maintenance and speak to Pauli his number is (718) 524-4010. They have all sorts of cleaning equipment. As far as being lead safe, try calling AL or Junior of ACR General Contracting, they can most likely lead you to someone who can do a lead test for you. They can be reached at (917) 573-3304.

Enviro-test comes to your house and will do the dust tests and they are cheaper than a home kit that you have send off your results to a separate lab for. They also do the "xray" gun testing to see where it is in your house. I have a baby so lead testing is important to me, I've had my 2 family done on both floors.
Interestingly, there was no lead in my plaster ceilings detected by the x-ray gun. It was probably too expensive in the old days to use the "good" lead paint on the entire ceiling areas.
