moving an electrical panel

Hi, I would like to remove a wall in my kitchen but there is an electrical in that wall. Can I get an electrician to move it?

Yep. Shouldn't be a problem to move the bx cable to the ceiling or even another wall. Should be about a $4-500 job, depending on what needs to be done. I'd get a few estimates, though.

make sure the electrician is licensed and insured.
you don't want any damage done or worse a fire.

$400 or $500 is unusually low for a real professional.

400-500 for a new outlet or removal of an existing isn't below or above the norm. I do agree however that the most important thing is to ensure the person doing the work is fully licensed and insured. Don't let a fly by night jerk who isn't, or some electrician who will substitute themselves for a 'helper' do the work.

If you mean moving an electrical panel as in "breaker panel", that could be a very expensive job, not the least because breaker panels can't be moved just anywhere.

Outlet removal or additions are usually 400-500 . Moving a breaker panel will cost thousands. The main line to the panel needs to be moved, o r spliced, and all the connections to the panel would need to be spliced. It's something that could take days depending on the number of connections and how far all the wires need to be relocated.
