Glass cut table top?
I am looking for someone to cut a piece of glass to fit on an antique dining table (4x6). Does anyone have a recommendation for a glass cutter? I can trace the size needed myself and pick-up the glass, once cut. Also, does anyone know how much it might cost? I was quoted $460, but this seems high.

Dunno what's a reasonable cost but try Albert Stained Glass on St Marks a call. They have the equipment for it.

Had it done for outdoor table about that size a few years ago by the glass place on 5th ave in north slope - maybe around bergen. Price sounds a little high, but I can't remember how much it was. Make sure it's tempered glass at least 1/2" thick which does cost more.

Umm, 1/2 tempered is overkill and will cost a fortune. Call hecht & sohn (they're next to the bed stuy home depot) on willoughby (I think). 3/8 tempered should do just fine. I've purchased much glass from these guys and they've been good to me.
