It depends on the effect you want to achieve. If you want to go monochromatic, you can try neutrals in various shades of tan, light gray or the palest greens. If you want to make a more emphatic statment, you can go shades of black, dark green or even brown. With a white kitchen, you've got lots of options, so you really can't go wrong. Get yourself an armload of decorating magazines and look at the kitchens to get a visual idea of how any number of color choices would work and go from there. Good luck and have fun.

Why don't you post a picture? Countertop is hard to pick outside the context of the whole room.

I don't have the picture now,but my thought is to make the kitchen look simple, bright, clean. So I choose white for my kithen, but I also don't want there's only white in it,I hope the countertop can be other color,to bright up the whole room. How about bright red, pink,or yellow?

This article in the NYTimes discusses your issue:

It says that more buyers want a neutral color scheme instead of bright hues like you are considering. In a nutshell it cites a bunch of brokers that redecorated their apartments knowing what features look good on a sell sheet. Some deviate from conventional wisdom though.
Of course it's your place, but it might be useful to go neutral with the hard-to-replace items like counters and add color with wall paint, accessories and art.

i bought a place that has black granite with a matching backsplash. do not think that i would have chosen it myself, but i love it. just think it's super elegant and seems to go with everything.

I'm not a fan of black and white kitchens. Too harsh.
Go with a green or gray.
If it's a mossy green that's a very appealing color that is considered a neutral now in home interiors.
