Wanted: Silent Paint Remover
Hello! We just closed on a house in Victorian Flatbush, and we have a lot of paint to strip! After reading all the posts here, we would like to try the silent paint remover ... but it is so expensive, and it seems like the effectiveness of the tool varies from house to house. We would like to test it out to see how well it works for our situation before spending so much money. Does anyone have an SPR that they would be willing to lend or rent to us? If so, please post here or feel free to email us privately at tzaluv@yahoo.com. Thanks!

The company rents out machines directly, but you have to leave a deposit. See:

Or you could build your own:

Hi,
I spent the day reading blogs about the SPR (and scratching with my heatgun !).
Did you finally buy, build (?!) or rent one ?
How easy was it ?
Did it work on mouldings too ?
I'm impatient to read your comments ?
Signed : an exhausted woodstripper !
