Help! I need to replace shower body
How much does it cost to replace a shower body? and can anyone recommend a reliable plumber?

Cost will depend on several things. Licensed plumber vs. unlicensed; plumbing vs. demo, plumbing & re-tiling.
If you want someone to break open the wall, replace the shower body and then patch it back up w/ tile etc. you are obviously going to pay a lot more than just having someone come in and do the actual plumbing work involved in swapping out an old shower body with a new one. A licensed plumber to do just the plumbing aspect of the job (no tile work) will charge you about $800-$1000 for the work. You can certainly find a general contractor/handyman to do the complete job for less money but you run the risk of not having someone licensed etc.

I agree, I have done this job numerous times.
A licensed plumber will charge 800 to 1,000 just for the plumbing.
Then you have to hire a tiler to close up the hole in the wall.
I have paid 400 to unlicensed plumbers to do the same job.
