deck builder
I'm looking for someone to design and build a legal deck off the back of my house. Any recommendations?

Al Rosario (ACR General Contracting, Inc), he did a deck for me at 378 Court Street, legally u need a permit, but however u want to do it is your choice. You can ask for him at (917) 573-3304

I'll second the recommendation for Steve Rayboy, of Urban Exteriors. He just finished a parlor floor deck for us and we're very, very, happy with the job. He pays attention to detail, cares about the quality of is work, and was easy to work with.

Decks R US out of Staten Island build a wood deck and paver patio (with a path between the two) a few weeks ago. It took them two days to complete the job and were very reasonably priced.

Buyer beware of Decks R us. They did pavers for me around a pool and the job came out completely terrible. Most important part of doing pavers is the flow of water into the drains. Not only does the water not flow into the drains but it collects everywhere in the backyard and the pitch actually takes the water into the pool!!! All Mexican workers who don't speak English and bosses are never around. When bosses show up they completely defer to the Mexican workers as to how job should be done. their price was a little high to boot. Would definetly reconsider before using this company.
