cat smell
2 weeks ago I found a cat (probably stray) sitting in the step well in the entrance under the stoop between the step & the gate. When I approached it ran away but I noticed that the step had a wet spot. Since then I smell a faint urine smell there. How do I get rid of the smell? Is this a problem that may repeat (do cats like these spots)? If so, anything I should do?

Nature's Miracle is good for getting rid of cat pee smell (buy it at any pet food store), though make sure you follow the directions.

Yeah, really! I mean, put some stuff in some water, Top Job, ammonia, whatever. Scrub. Rinse. Repeat. What's the big deal?

Actually, denton, ammonia will only increase the smell, and encourage re-peeing. That's the big deal, and that's why the poster was hoping for informed advice, rather than your crap.

7:23,24 is right urine decomposes into ammonia and will attract felines claiming territory.

You can wash it away with diluted white vinegar. This will discourage 'repeeing'.

odd, how white vinegar, once again, is the amazing answer to 98% of cleaning issues. guess it has to do with that acid v. base stuff I learned a long time ago.

the cats are probably spraying, scent-marking your stoop. this stuff is pretty foul, but if it's just brick/concrete you can spray bleach and that will get it out (nature's miracle is great stuff but is better put to use on items you can't dump caustic chemicals like bleach on). cats usually mark vertical surfaces so make sure you clean the walls/side of the steps.

pepper flakes or cayenne pepper powder will keep cats away.

Why keep them away - Anyone up for some Cheesing?
Posted by: guest at May 5, 2008 12:11 PM
CHEESING:
Huffing Cat Urine. It is called Cheesing because it is Fon to Due.
It causes a euphoric state where the user hallucinates. Such hallucinations include, but are not limited to, flying through space, driving rocket cars, meeting women with rokin' tits, flying on squirrel dragons, saving said big breasted woman etc. Usually 80s heavy metal power rock is playing in the background.
You also get to fight in the Breasturary, and swim in the fountains of Varnuf with the Itty-titty fairies of Mammary Mountain, as well as fight the boob-goblin in the Gozonga Cave.
20% of students between the ages of 6 - 12 have said they have tried it at least once.
Other slang terms for cheesing:
The Cheese Game
Vitamin Cheese
Mary Jane Piss in yo face fun time.
How to tell if your child is Cheesing:
1.) Your child seems distant, preoccupied.
2.) Your child's face smells like cat urine.
3.) When you see tigers at the zoo, your child starts grinding his or her teeth.
"Dude, I'm cheesing my F-ing brains out right now"
"He's cheesing his F-ing balls off, dude."
