Cabinet maker reccomendation?
I need a custom maple cabinet made for a bathroom. I have the plans from the architect. Can someone reccomend a good cabinet maker. We're in greenpoint. I know there's a bunch nearby...

There are thousands of cabinet makers in Greenpoint/Williamsburg. Peter Billow has a long established business on Richardson St. and produces high quality work. His number is 718.387.1391.

Alexej (pronounced Aleg-zay) Siren is really wonderful, good guy, and a great craftsman. Pretty new to the area, but not to the trade. Just finished custom closets for me. here's his email...

I see this guy working all the time in his space on Atlantic Ave. between Hoyt and Smith. He has some pics up of his work in his window. I think he's quite good.

Try Joe Camilleri of Karamel Cabinetry. He is located in Greenpoint. He is making a bamboo bathroom vanity for us and so far he has been great to work with; but no finished product yet. karamelcabinetry.com

I used Artistic Wood Crafts for bathroom cabinetry and am very pleased. I have now contracted with them for kitchen cabinetry and renovation. They are in brooklyn navy yard -- call Omar at 646-541-3409. Very honest guys...

My tenant Stephen Pino has done beautiful work in my home. A wood door with glass and just recently a custom set of bookshelves that matches the molding of my 1870s home and looks as if its been there forever.

We got our cabinet installed by Joe of Karamel Cabinetry. After a delay on our part (see guest MAY 7), Joe came through in the clutch and installed our beautiful new vanity. It is a piece of furniture that complements our new bathroom. Beautiful hand detail and real craftsmanship. Absolutely seamless. Irecommend his work to anyoe willing to maintain such a beautiful cabinet.

Joe Camilleri from Karamel just finished up a project in my NYC apt. 2 major wall units with cabinets, electical built in, lights, glass doors, and a built in baby changing table!
Excellent job. Priced well. Quality materials. Well thought out, and he is quite easy to work with. I am the difficult one, and i found that he was very accomodating. I certainly will work with him again and plan to recommend him. Be prepared, his work is not done overnight, but was well worth the time!
