2 Pier Mirror From a Brownstone

2 Pier Mirror From a Brownstone

I have two large mirrors that came from a 1870s brownstone. One is a A fabulous 9' 2" gilded pier mirror with granite stoop. The other is wood with original surface moldings has a bit more ware but in great shape. It has a marble shelf at the bottom I'd like to sell the wood one for $800 and the guilded one for $1300... They are both in in Brookly. 917-941-8670

We have the exact same one pictured in our house... must have been a catalog piece.

I always think these are the pieces people should install who own coops in which all the detail was ripped out if it ever existed (typical of 80's renos in brownstone coop buildings). Or in newly built condos. In the brownstone market residents and buyers love these details and it goes with the neighborhood and atmosphere no matter what kind of property it is. Even in a very modern building in Brooklyn you could mix historic and modern in a cool way. Makes sense, but for whatever reason I never see apartments or condos listed in which somebody got creative and added some historic details. Even when the space was horribly bland and boring and desperately needed it. Strange.
