132 2nd Place

Anyone know what's up with the brownstone accross from the F train on 2nd Pl? The address is 132 2nd Place (wrong address in previous post). It has the parlor and ground floor windows cemented, and for some time now.

We looked into buying this place a couple of years ago. It was a total mess inside. There was a big hole in the stairway wall on the second floor, the back had an addition where the walls were visibly askew, there was unfinished work everywhere. We went downstairs to the first floor and just as I was whispering to my husband about Quasimodo living there, out of a small door to the basement came a small misshapen frightening looking man, no lie. The person showing it said that the bottom floor relatives did not want to sell, alluding to some inter-family conflict. After we passed on it the house seemed to deteriorate more, then we heard that the whole two story addition on the back had fallen down and into the neighbor's yard. There were housing violations tacked to the door for a month or so as well. Apparently you can still get in under the stairs if you need to go inside. I suspect that the relatives are still arguing about selling. What a mess.

They were showing this in 2005 for 1.9 mil. Total joke, the place has an illegal extension that is falling down, interior needs full gutting, the main staircase needs to be replaced/completely rebuilt.

Peter Miale at iron gate properties was showing this in 2005. He'd be able to provide some insight if you're serious.
