Replacing old fencing

I am interested in recommendations from other brownstone owners on hiring reputable fence companies to install shadowbox style wood garden privacy fencing. Several adjoining neighbors on my block are considering this venture collectively and could use any help from those of you who have been there, done that and are happily satisfied. Thank you in advance for your responses.

No recs but before you put a fence up, have a survey done. We ran into big issues when we sold our house because the new fence created a boundary line disupte. Not pretty. The fence was actually a foot in on our property in places which meant we changed the boundary lines. Still being worked out two years later.

If you use Bracci I wish you better luck than I had. I got an estimate in 2006. Not able to proceed I waited until 2007, called back and said I was ready to proceed. I understood that the estimate may need to be updated. They said they had to re-measure, re-bid the whole job. The new rep came and could not use a tape measure, got all details wrong on the bid. The manager said he would re-submit. After waiting 3 months, he kept saying he was working on it, then said he lost my plan could I re-send it. Finally after months got the revised estimate. Nearly double the first for the same job. Good luck.
