Kitchen Counter Recs?

My husband and I are looking to redo our kitchen either in granite or quartz. Does anyone have any recommendations of places to check out either in Brooklyn, Queens, or Manhattan? Less expensive is preferable. Also, if you know of anywhere we can get remnants,we would appreciate those recs too. Thanks so much!!!

There's a Brooklyn based business that makes countertops out of recycled glass. I have not seen the products myself but they were recently featured on This Old House. I don't know their prices either

Check out Red Hook Marble on Coffey Street. When we redid our kitchen, these guys were great.

High Quality Marble: 93 19th street, Brooklyn off of 3rd avenue
718-499-7146.
Average price for Granite $38-45/sq foot

Marble City (next door) on 19th street, similar prices. (they have the warehouse on site and you can view the slabs)

Allstone works in Flushing. 31-37 Higgins Street, Flushing. 718-321-1572. warehouse on site.

all are open on Saturdays from 8-5pm.

all said they would cut sink hole and deliver for a small charge.

While I'm at it - Allstone also cuts mirrors and shower glass doors. Substantially cheaper than Home Depot or the speciality glass shops. Example: 75x25" 3/8" glass shower door was quoted $660 at Allstone (with hardware). The same shower door at Home depot was about $1500. Note: Cash only

Update on Post above:

Allstone does not cut glass. The glass shop is located next door and is called CCY Group. They are located next door to Allstone works in Flushing. The number for CCY Group is 718-353-2829

There is a granite place on 2nd Avenue and 60th Street called L&T. I got my black granite countertops for $1,000 - installed.
