Gardener/Landscaper needed in Bed-Stuy

We are looking for someone to help us design and supervise implementing the design of our garden in Stuyvesant Hts. Not big budget!
However, some pavers/bluestone, and horticultural help needed. We recently had a mudroom addition removed, so some cement work/brick work / pavers is needed to provide the proper drainage and grading away from the foundation where the old mudroom used to be.

Any and all suggestions of good people to work with requested, please!
Many thanks.

Linking to blog roundup post reminded me that gowanus nursery does have a garden plan service.

For a possibly cheaper solution call the brooklyn botanic garden and ask for contact info on people who have recently graduated from their horticulturalist training program.

Guest 6:35- Keep those stupid comments off of forums where people are truly looking for advice. Yes, Black people live and OWN their brownstones in Bed Stuy! I'm one of them and yes we garden! You small minded fool. People like you are very irritating! Daveinbedstuy, I have had no luck and have turned to doing it myself. I have grass in my backyard now! Keep looking and good luck.

Try calling Ram from J&R Landscaping, he has worked on 2 projects for me and I dig his style and personality: 718 738-1969

11:47..I had Chuck at Dig In Boerum Hill do my landscaping. He's not cheap. You couldn't afford him I'm sure.

As far as your drive thru in Bed Stuy, you better watch out or I'll get some of my new black friends to car jack you. Go back to your computer in your rental apartment and loathe over black property ownership.

Don't forget Gardell's Garden in Fort Green on S. Portland between Fulton and Lafayette. He does landscaping. There's also the Chelsea Garden Center that opened up last year in Red Hook. They would probably be able to offer up some references if not actual landscaping services.

Is the Gowanus nursery the one that used to be on 3rd street in the open lot? Sadly, that's history, I used to really dig that place.

Yes that's the same gowanus nursery in its current home in red hook.

As I imagine this thread will be searched this time of year, I want to mention that DIG visited me over three weeks ago to discuss my job (not big but not small). I still have no estimate, and my phone calls are unreturned. Buyer beware.

Ditto to tinarina's comment about Chuck @ DIG. Nice guy, dynamic personality, but saw him weeks ago for a big backyard renovation in the $30,000 range and haven't heard from him.
