Engineer for a Pergola
Hello,
I am building a pergola on my 18 x 25 ft terrace. I would like to hire an engineer to provide me with a report of the pergolas structural integrity that I can then give my condo board for insurance purposes. Has anyone doen this before or knows of a good relatively inexpenzive engineer to use? thanks

This seems like a crazy request from your board. Who designed the pergola? Can't they provide this report?

YES, IT DOES SEEM A BIT. I am having my builder look into it but also want to find my own engineer...any engineers out there?

condo boards can be such a pain. :(
Regarding 3:39 - I had a fence designed and built on my deck by the guys at Brooklyn Design and Custom Carpentry (bkdesignshop.com) they had the best price out of the 4 bids I got, showed up on time, finished on time, and cleaned up after themselves. The project came in on budget. I had a great experience with them.
