deck
I made a mistake.. the party deck next door is about 80% of the roof. The floor underneath, which is the roof of the extension looks like it's giving in. who do I call for report???

Mind your own business, narc. You can completely cover an extension with a deck if you want.

Wtf is your issue, the deck or the noise? how did you get so close to see the roof giving in. They may report you for trespassing. Speak with the landlord about the noise not us. if no help then 311.

What??
There is a fine line between being a good citizen and being a busybody, and that line has to do, among other things, with ego and intention.
This poster is obviously having a problem with noise and is trying to bust an illegal deck instead of just being an adult and dealing directly with the noise issue. That's not being a good citizen--it's being passive-aggressive.

It is not illegal to cover an extension with a deck. There is a limit to the amount of the upper roof, but not the extension.
