We need a removal service or something

After smelling something rather odd for a few days, I went outside and looked under the back porch and found this. I do not want to touch it...does anyone know an "undertaker" of some sort? Who would remove such a sight? Would ASPCA take care of this?

doesn't your mother deserve better than that, dssguy99?

Is that a 'possum? poor ole' thang'... :)
Call a pest control co., they'll come out and remove the carcass for a fee... OR, put on some gloves, place the thing in a box then call sanitation and they'll pick it up the next day.

You should call 311 and they will be able to point you in the right direction.

It is dead animal. BFD. Invert a garbage bag, hold nose, and collect. Use a shovel if you are a real wimp.

People and animals die all of the time -- grow a backbone!

WTF is that thing?

You're the guy complainging about the Chinese landlord and the mice. Maybe either the ll or the mice would be interested in ii if it's not just playing possum.

Why don't you spend your time looking for a mose free possum free apartment instead of posting your dribble here?

I've been looing for my cat for weeks, you found it!

be careful though, it may just be playing possum.

Objects in the picture appear bigger than they actually are!!!

I'm with the "grow a backbone" camp. Get a rake or a shovel, pull it out, put it in a bag and put it in the garbage. The longer you wait the worse it smells...and looks!!!

The original poster can't do ANYTHING without asking the brownstoner forum first.

Next time, do you need to snap a photo of your ass, and ask us if you need to wipe???

You are a sicko racist and should be banned from this website for good this next time.

A week or so ago we had a thread about the decline in "DIYing" among younger people. This is an extreme example. I couldn't conceive of actually hiring someone to do such a simple (although disgusting) job. I wouldn't even want to have to stay home and wait for the ASPCA or a City agency to do it for free. All it takes is a shovel, a plastic garbage bag, and a fairly strong stomach. What a wimp "dssguy99" must be!

hear hear Bob. OP - you should be anonymous, your posts are going to attract lots of mockery and contempt.

Just so you all know. I picked this thing up with my bare hande because my gloves RIPPED when I grabbed for it. I put it our front of my house and now the local cats are eating it. The neighbors and my landlord are upset at me. Oh well. Soon Ill live in Park Slope and wont have to see these "people".

Posted by: dssguy99 at March 11, 2008 2:05 PM

But why didn"t you bury it?

Posted by: guest at March 11, 2008 2:11 PM

Park Slope residents - BE SURE TO GIVE HIM A WARM WELCOME. I'm pleased that he's not going to be my neighbor.

Posted by: guest at March 11, 2008 2:59 PM

he couldn't afford park slope.

Are you sure "the chinese" aren't just fermenting it?

Do we need any more proof that this guy is an instigator?

HA! Brilliant! I think dssguy 99's most successful response was the "call 311" for help.
