using onyx tray as bathroom shelves on tile

I have a space in the bathroom which is tiled on 3 sides which would be ideal to put some sheves in - it's like a niche which is about 13 inches wide and 7 inches deep and goes all the way from tub to the ceiling (it is there thanks to the heater riser pipe having been covered with sheetrock an tiles). I found great onyx shelves at CB2 that fit perfectly sidewise, but they are beveled:

I could really use some suggestions as to how install these so it looks beatuful - black caulk? L-corners painted black? triangular plexiglass tubes to match the beveled slant? I have no idea.

I could be wrong but the description makes me think these are plastic, not stone. Id imagine it would start to look pretty funky if exposed to water for a long period of time.

As for installation, you can buy those clippy things that hold up glass/marble shelves in niches and place the shelf on top. Just float it away from the wall so the beveled edge on the back doesn't look out of place.

Yup, black plastic. Gotta love ad copy.
