Sandblasting Clawfoot tub feet
Can anyone recommend someone to sandblast clawfoot tub feet? I have the original 4 and want to sandblast them and paint or chrome dip them. I searched the past forums to na avail. I know one of you has the answer. Thanks

Oh yeah? Is guess that's why there are 14 listings in the Yellow pages for Brooklyn alone.

That old building next to the Whole Foods site on 3rd Avenue used to house a radiator repair place, Pippin Radiators. They sandblasted a scooter seat frame for me once. Googling them, it looks like they moved to 4218 Third Avenue, at 42nd Street. Their phone is 718-858-8300.

You can take the feet off (jack up the tub and whack them with a hammer).
Then just dip them in paint stripper and repaint. But i wouldn't bother.

Thank you all. The feet are
already off so, guest 4:19 do you have any suggestions for what stripper to use? Maybe I'll try before I pay to sanblast. Thanks johife for the info. I knew you guys had answers. Always greatful!

If you have a large enough pot (that you're not using for cooking) you can do the boiling technique. Add baking soda. Boil. Yum. Clawfoot stew.
