Looking for custom shutters...

Can anyone recommend a local business that makes (and preferably installs) shutters?

Ive called a few local woodworking shops recommended in prior posts without sucess. Ive been back and forth with some online shutter makers but if Im going to be spending a bundle on them, I'd prefer someone local.

Thanks!

The Shutters are just beautiful - I called Heights they came and measured gave me a price and were installed 2 weeks later

Very pleased - I highly recommend them

thanks guest...would you mind sharing what you paid for them? (Ive had some weird estimates from them on other projects so I want to get a sense)

Tamer & Tamer should be able to do it also. I haven't used them for shutters but have been very happy with other work they did for me. No - I don't work for the company.

You could also order custom shutters online. Might be a better price. But follow instructions for measurements very carefully and hire a handyman to professionally install them.

Smith + Noble do custom wood shutters and blinds. smithandnoble.com

I ordered all our wood blinds from them and am happy.

In the same vain, I'm looking for a woodworker with a wood shop in Fort Greene/Clinton Hill to work on a woodworking project (not shutters specifically). I will contact Aidan at Emerald Furniture. Any other recommendations of a woodworker with a shop in the neighobrhood?
