Kitchen Cabinets

Is anyone familiar with this:

I am told if I purchase kitchen cabinets and they are installed by their insallers there is no sales tax because it is a major capital improvement.

This is how the pricing breaks down.......
one charge for the kitchen cabinets
and a separate charge for the installation.

I am an interior decorator.
Kitchen and baths are a new subject for me.

do a search for form st-124. it is the certificate of capital improvement. you should read that carefully. sounds like it your contractor is legit. just make sure he doesnt charge tax on the materials AND labor.

I was told the same by The Cabinet Factory. I also did some research, I think on the IRS website, and what I read confirmed it. In the end I saved money by paying the tax and doing the labor myself.
