HOW MUCH FOR THIS CONVERSION
HELLO ALL,
I WILL BE CONVERTING MY ONE-FAMILY TO A TWO-FAMILY. MY ARCHITECT IS CHARGING ME 11K FOR ALL PAPERWORK, FILING, CHANGIN C OF O ETC.
DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW MUCH IT WILL COST (BALLPARK) TO ADD TWO MORE ELECTRIC METERS, BOILERS, AND HOTWATER.
OBVIOUSLY THERE IS PLUMBING & ELECTRICAL INVOLVED BUT I WOULD LIKE TO SET A BUDGET.
ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED. IF YOU HAVE DONE THIS PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE.
THANKS.

And how much did it cost? Can't you answer the F-ing question instead of just giving the referral?

1) STOP SHOUTING and 2) you've not given enough information here for an accurate assesment of the cost. For example, type of heat, is the work being done in the context of a gut reno etc etc etc.
New boilers are ~$6k, new hot water heaters run from $250-$2000, new electrical panels are ~$450, 12/3 BX is about 40cents/ft. Beyond that, we really need a bit more context to determine even a ball park estimate for labor and therefore total cost.
