Engineer needed
Hi All,
I'm very interested in purchasing a beautiful 4 story brownstone in Bed-Stuy. The current owners seems to have begun working on the propoerty but were unable to finish so sheet rock etc, reconfigured rooms, are in place but not complete. Can someone please recommend and engineer they've worked with who can further review the property?

You don't need an engineer, you need an architect.

We used Robert Albani for our co-op inspection, and he was great. He has also been recommended here in relation to brownstone inspections. 718-819-0174

since you stated that the rooms have already been reconfigured and the work has been done up to the sheetrock then you need neither an engineer nor an architect unless you plan further reconfiguration
You need a contractor to give you an estimate of what it takes to finish the rest.
And by the way 10:28 asshole, I'm not black but all my neighbors are and they have more class than you do.

If it was filed with the DOB - you need an architect to take over the application and sign off the job.
