commercial laundry
we have a 30-unit building and our service ageement is up with our laundry provider. anyone have experience taking this in-house instead of re-uping with provider? about half of our units currently use the basement laundry

we used to use hercules. they sorta suck, but paid about half what they took in and provided the machines (new every ten years). after that contract ended, we bought our own and kept all the money. it's more financially beneficial, we buy new machines about every 5 years now -- and get the latest energy-rated ones which is a big plus. it is kinda a pain tho. but not really

You didn't say if these are coin or some kind of card system. If coin, you will have to check with your bank to see if they accept loose bagged coin, and you will have to get the quarters to the bank (a lot of weight). And of course, cuz it's cash, you'll want some checks and balances on removing the coin from the machines.

commerce takes coins from anyone, account or no account.
but if you're getting new -- whether from a service or on your own, get the smart card
