Aggressive Broker?
My wife and I just moved to Connecticut and we are looking to buy for the first time. We have been shown houses by two different brokers, each of whom is pressuring us to sign up with them such that we would work exclusively with them. Is this a normal practice that we as buyers would make such a commitment, or is this just a scam by aggressive brokers?

no one owns a buyer. work with whomever you are most comfortable with. don't sign anything.

Have you thought of shooting her? She's a RE broker, so it's a victimless crime--right?

Tell them you never sign an exclusive contract with a broker as a buyer, and you'd love to work with them and see whatever they have to show you, but you understand if they'd rather not work with you because you won't work with them exclusively.
Then give them your card and say buh-bye and walk away.
They won't turn down income, they'll still call you if they have properties to show you.

agree never go with an exclusive broker as a buyer. if we had done that we would have missed out on many properties. each broker seemed to have their own listings in hand, and I always found others....
