in search of studio or 1 bedroom
I'm sorry if I'm posting this in the wrong forum, but can't find what might be the appropriate place. In search of a studio or 1 bedroom - my limit is $1200. Will also consider a large room in a share. Please get in touch with any and all info. Thank you!

my sister and her boyfrien are looking now. they do not want to pay full broker fee. She keeps me updated and I know that they are considering a 1 br in bay ridge for $925 but thay will have to pay one month rent to a broker. apartment is not in a best shape but they can fix tiles and kitchen and paint if they want. another one is also in bay ridge. this one is too expensive for them and they will probably pass - $1250/month, but there i a laundry in the basement and apartment is really good and specious. Another one is $900 huge 1 br somewhere near ave J and ocean ave, this one is no broker fee and no super fee, directly from the owner.
Most of this she found by the word of the mouth, talking to super or found on craigslist.
Do your legwork, it is absolutely doable. Unless you want prime Park Slope for this price.
