This is a very cool feature where you can type in an address and find out how many amenities are near your house/house you are thinking of buying.

Very cool!
Scored 92 out of 100!
Geeze, and I live in Windsor Terrace! :)

This is fun.

I got a 98. North Slope/7th Ave. I hardly have to walk to get anything.

But the places I used to live - Henry and Love Lane and Fulton and South Portland each got 100%.

The North Slope location shows the Plaza Twin movie theater so I do have questions about the veracity of their info.

Where I grew up in Virgina scored a measely 22 but it is at least 15 miles to a movie theater and 21 miles to a MacDonald's...real healthy walking actvities. It was a great small town for freely riding your bike on the sideawalk, though.

Another place I lived, the Fan in Richmond, VA (near Stonewall Jackson on Monument Ave., the score was only 83. Maybe they accounted for the fact that you took your life into your own hands when dodging the right on red traffic crossing Broad St.

My area got a score of 100,

In my opinion the sight is not objective.

Starbucks came up repeatedly, which is ok except there are dozens of better and less expensive choices within a few blocks.

Will I use this website?
No thank I will pass.

Everything is a learning experience....even this.

I'm on Stuyvesant Ave near Halsey in the beutiful Stuyvesant Heights neighborhood and I got an 86!!!! What on earth would get something below 50 then??????

Almost everywhere in america. Brooklyn is relatively uniformly fabulous for walking.

Not a good site. Not at all comprehensive. Failed to list the closest and most important stores and bars in my neighborhood.

Woohoo! 98/100!

I got an 83 on my Bed Stuy address. They didn't list Foodtown as a grocery store and only had fast food joints as restaurants. No Brooks Valley or even Applebees. My Beacon address received a 68 and I'm a few of blocks from Main St and the train.

I got a 78 - darn! But I wouldn't trade my Hancock & Nostrand address...so, 78 it is!

Got an 86 for Lefferts Manor/PLG. Because they count the park, the Botanic Gardens, things like that and I guess we have all the basics here. But this site doesn't show the appeal of certain amenities. Someone could also have an 86 and have better groceries than we do for example. Which would be easy! However I found the site helpful in seeing some businesses I didn't know existed, that I'd like to check out.

This isn't a New York on site. One could probably come up with a scale to adapt the scores to NY if you really wanted to, but maybe you should all just be happy you live somewhere where even in less 'prime' areas you have more services than 99% of the country. Try doing a search in say, Michigan.

I'm in PLG also and got a 91. Interesting thing, 10:19, I'm on Ocean Avenue --literally at the Park's border. Their calculation for my proximity to the Park was .59 miles. Huh?
