Getting rid of circulars/adverstisements
Just in case anyone is interested, (I am procrastinating and avoiding my real work), if you call 1-800-376-6222, you can request to be removed from the circular list.. which means no more receiving those annoying plastic bags with Kohls written across them and stuffed with ads..

I just called.
Gave my name and address. They said im now off the list.
Too easy, or was it........

Forgive my cynicism, but probably a way to send you more circulars. Kinda like when you answer a spam email asking to be taken off the list.

I've called that number at least four times, week after week, to no avail. I really hope you have more success!

One of the most anoying things is that they leave three bags of ads at each house--all the houses on my Lefferts Manor block are single family and there are signs posted to that effect. I called twice; they promised to stop the ads both times; they lied,
The "No Flyers" sign I posted doesn't work either
In believe that a new law will soon go into effect that provides for substantial fines--that MIGHT work.

This number does not work, but you can amuse yourself calling it.
The carriers are retarded and do not speak english. You expect them to skip your house? Hah.
As for a law that will provide fines, this is not correct. There is no law outlawing circulars currently due to first ammendment rights, so any fine would not apply since they are legal.

The new law says that they can't leave the circulars if you have a sign posted, if they do they get fined... now there is a Brooklyn business waiting to happen.. create a classy little wood sign that reads: No circulars please, or something similar, to hang on our metal gates...

You are kidding yourself if you think this is going to prevent flyers or result in actual fines.
