Earnest New Bar or Bad Movie Joke in South Slope?
Was walking down 5th ave in the high teens/low 20s. We've been watching closely what looked like a new restaurant or bar with nice exterior lights and a nice renovation of the brick archway on the storefont. Last night there was suddenly a sign outside. "TRIP".
Walking closer to the bar, I noticed that there are small letters above TRIP that read 'EURO' "EuroTRIP"? Anyone have any info?

Ah, the ubiquitous and totally tired and unoriginal one-word name for restaurants and bars. They're having to get out the dictionary now, to name their business.
Another year from now the one-word name will finally be so out of fashion and dumb, huge numbers of businesses will have to go through renaming.

It was either that name or "Junior Year Abroad I Drank A Dark Beer" ... guess they went with the shorter option.

Then I guess they can buy their supplies over at Eagle Provisions!
I'm rooting for anything that opens up over here, but so many place just miss the mark.

Well, the name might not be great, but the owner is an authentic European. I believe he's austrian or slovakian.
