Can you take old oil tank to scrap metal yard?
What are you supposed to do with an empty old oil tank? Super clean inside - could probably be used but we switched to gas. Can we sell it to the scrap metal yard?

How do they get it out if they don't cut it up? I know those things aren't going to fit through a door or up the stairs. Are those craigslist guys really qualified to do this kind of work in your house?

THere are people that specialize in cleaning old oil tanks, so a search on 'tank cleaners'. THen get it cut up.
