Brookyn storage recommendations?

Cohabitation is in my near future and combined there is going to be too much stuff in the apt. Anyone have recommended mini-storage in Brooklyn? I'm in Carroll Gardens and would prefer something on my side of Bklyn, gowanus/sunset park/bay ridge.

Cost is the main issue, but convenience/hours/cleanliness/space, too.

any help appreciated!

Moishe's storage

They may even move it to the storage for free.

When you find a storage facility. don't forget to take insurance for your stuff.
Shit happens, unfortunately.

We were pretty happy with Premier, on 3rd Ave at about Carroll/1st. Very clean and you get more height than at U-Haul on 4th Ave.

Has anyone used the big warehouse at Flatbush and Fulton? Any good?

There is a big building just down Clinton, into Red Hook, that says "temperature controlled storage", if they're open it would be very convenient, I imagine.

I use the American Self-Storage Warehouse on Tillary St. (by the entrance to the BQE). It costs about $70/month for a decent sized space, which, was the best deal I could find in the area.

The Premier Storage on 3rd Avenue and 1st St., while would have been much more convenient, was more than double the price.

anyone used the dubious looking storage place under the F train by the Lowe's? (It kind of horrifies me but it's so close to home!)

thanks

Used the other Ameican Self-Storage - the one a little further along under the BQE - on Clinton at Park. (Was headed for their one on Tillary, but as there was a big crowd of people on the street in front when I went by (bus stop maybe?), I didn't want to start unloading there, and so I drove over to the other one. Found them recommended online (both locations) as having helpful staff - and I found that to be true.

I later used the one on 3rd by 1st for a small locker for a few weeks - can say, yes, it is definitely way more expensive - not worth it.

You know she hates that leather couch. Why pay to keep it in storage forever or until death do you part. Sell everything and finally make a commitment. You WILL love French country, eventually.

Treasure Island in Red Hook

We use the one by BAM. It's clean, staffed and secure, you have to have a code to get up in the elevator.

Can further vouch for American Self-Storage on Tillary. Survived a flood with last autumn's noreaster, and the staff couldn't be better. At least, as far as the staff of a storage place goes... They keep the spaces well heated, too, so we haven't had any issues with it getting overly musty.

I was just quoted the following rates from American Self-storage this past weekend. Tillary St. location had a 5x6 room for $79/month plus $8/month insurance fee plus a $20 set-up charge and you get your second month free; the clinton ave location had a 5x7 room for $109/month plus all the other fees etc.

What storage facility by BAM? Can't find anything on google matching that description. Anyone have more info?

I urge you to STAY AWAY from the Public Storage facility on Gold & Tillary. They are going through a major renovation (no doubt the place desperately needs it as its a dump!) requiring current renters to move from their current space on a floor targeted for renovation to another space on an un-renovated floor. Then, once the renovation reaches that floor, you will be forced to move again. They are offering no assistance with moving expenses or significant discounts for the hassle of moving twice. And of course they aren't telling new customers about this... I was there for a year and just got my notice to move out.

So I too can vouch for American Self Storage on Tillary, having just moved over there - nice people, safe building, climate controlled spaces, lots of options/sizes.
