Shortening a spout for a kitchen faucet
We bought a faucet from KWC that we love but the spout is too long for the sink. Unfortunately, KWC doesn't make a shorter spout. Does anyone recommend cutting the spout in the middle and weld it back together and if so who would you recommend to do this? Thanks.

There's no reason you can't cut it in the middle and join it together again. But it wouldn't be smooth, there'd be a joint there. Maybe think about doing some kind of surface treatment all over the spout so the joint blends in. Like an aging or distressed effect all over the metal of the spout.

If it is cut badly you will be unhappy.
Try to get a refund and buy a more suitable faucet.
The selection of faucets is enormous.

Custom work like that will be prohibitively expensive as compared to the price of a new faucet.
Still, George Taylor Specialties is your best bet.

Thanks guys. I think going with a new faucet might be my best option. I called George Taylor and currently I would be in a 4-6 weeks queue.

Just get a new faucet. Cutting it and patching it back together must be the stupidest thing I've heard all day. And I've heard a lot of stupid things today!

Your kidding,,,,,,right? You'll have to bite the bullet and get a new faucet to accomodate your sink. No one in their right mind will cut this faucet up and 'weld' it back together.
