Heating efficiency

Does anyone know a contractor who can do some detective work to figure out why my heat does not circulate into my ground floor front room? I have plugged every possible leak and I think it may be due to improper return venting or something like that.

Check out the Energy Star website:

Here are specific links so you don't have to swim around the whole site:

Also, you can try Keyspan first and see if they offer this service.

do you have enough insulation. really important on a ground floor. typically, there is little to none.

How about what type of heating system do you have?

Thanks for the comments. I have a forced air natural gas heating system, which is not ideal because there are no radiators to hold the heat. However, i don't think it is the problem. The problem is a cold spot in the front of the house on the garden floor. Does not seem to be the windows or door, and i insulated the basement ceiling, but that didnt help. Am wondering if it could be related to a blocked vent or something. Someone who knows how to analyze a heating system and how the air circulates would be a great help. I will try Keyspan. Good suggestion.
