Has anyone visisted Build it green in Astoria?

Wondering if anyone has been to this place? I have looked at the website a couple of time but it states that they do not post everything they have only big ticket items? Does anyone have first hand knowledge?

I was there Friday. They have a wide range of things available, bricks, paint, doors, hardware & plumbing fixtures. A bit of everything. It's worth the trip if you like salvage. Not everything is dirt cheap.

I go there every couple of months -- got all of our basement kitchen cabinets there. It's hit and miss though. A lot of salvage doors, wood pieces, radiators, sinks, electrical, and some new appliances. They often get stuff from discontinued lines and showrooms changing their display. Well worth the trip.

If you are looking for green building supplies check out Greenmaker Supply. They are based in Chicago but have a website (www.greenmakersupply.com) where they sell almost everything they have in the store. Prices are good and owners are extremely helpful.

We got a great antique sink there for $25, faucets included.
