Forte Condo

Hello brownstoner community. I am considering purchasing an apartment in the Forte. I would be very thankful if anyone who has purchased an apartment in the building can offer some information on what they feel are the pros and cons of the building. I live in the neighborhood, so I am just looking for first hand experiences regarding the quality of the apartments, amenities, etc. Are you happy you purchased your apartment? Have you had any misgivings after settling in? Any information would be very appreciated.

Thank you.

Jeremiah

I'm in contract to buy there. The person I know who has already moved in is very happy and has not had any serious problems.

Have some friends who are already living there-amongst the first to close. They dig it...

i visited the Forte this afternoon and strongly suggest that one think twice before taking the leap because, at best< it is high risk. i was informed that only five families have moved in with only about 20 units actually sold (closed), which suggests only 15% of the units have been sold. i asked the sales person to confirm and she said "we don't release that information". Feel confident that if sales were brisk, the sales person would voluntarily disclose the good news. unfortuntately the news is grim at best.

the units are cramped with little closet space. master bedroom in the 3 br unit can fit a king size bed and a flat screen TV. That's it. kitchen appliances are mid range. No high end products or finish here. this building makes a decent rental complex. only a "sucker" will buy here.
