Mold
As usual, I am looking to the people who know best - Brownstoners - for advice. I recently had Heimer do an inspection on a home I've owned for approximately 20 years. Was thrilled with the 8.5 rating the house received but I'm very concerned about an unexpected finding. The inspector found some mold on the wall (inside basement kitchen cabinet under the sink). Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced, reputable mold specialist? Thanks.

Spray a 50/50 solution of bleach and water. No more mold.

Second the bleach idea. Also, see if there is a leak somewhere producing moisture. Sometimes, water can leak around the edges of the sink and get into the under-sink cabinet.

Thanks for the advice. I contacted the inspector and he said it was a small amount and agreed that it could be cleaned/eliminated with bleach. It might have come from an old leak that was fixed because there are no leaks right now.
As I go through the inspector's report, I'm sure I'll find the need to be back asking more questions. Thanks again!
