Eratic Hot/Cold Water In Shower In Coop: Fixture Connection?

My coop just replaced it boiler, which hasn't changed the erratic hot and cold "flashes" that plague my showers. My shower and bathroom are ripe for reno.

SO, just wondering if there's any connection between the age of a set of faucets and the constancy of hot or cold water flow? Also, are there any faucets that, by incorporating sort of a reservoir, might moderate this problem?

A pressure balance valve will take care of it. The valve compensates for a drop in pressure of either the hot or the cold and keeps the temp at the same level. The more expensive ones come with an actual temperature scale to set it to. Most plumbing codes now mandate these valves in new and replacement work. They will be at the higher end of the price range..you won't find one for $100 but most anything $200 or up should be pressure balanced

All new shower valves are pressure balanced.
They won't help, though, if the problem stems from temperature fluctuations at the heat source.
Do you know what kind of water heater you've got?

Master Plumber, whatever we have, it was installed several months ago. If anything, the problem as gotten slightly worse since to new boiler came on line (although might it be the boiler now generating steam for heating?)
