Electrical problems?
Live in South Slope. Anyone have any problems with power last night? Blackout might well be localized (to my bloody house!) but street light was out also so Con Ed wasn't certain. A long shot but thought prudent to check.
Any recommendations for electricians with good problem-solving skills and ability to work in the dark greatly appreciated!

Have you checked your breakers - your panel box? Maybe the main is tripped.

Are you sure you're in the south slope? You might be in Sunset Park or Greenwood Heights, or even South Brooklyn.

Panel box was OK. Turns out it was a con ed problem with the main lines (legs) coming into the meter. Believe it or not we had con ed out first thing in the morning and they patched the problem. Then came out today to do a proper fix.
What can I say, Con Ed came though.
