Brooklyn for New Years Eve???

Does anyone know a bar/restaurant where we can see in the New Year?? we are new to Brooklyn adn can't be bothered with the Manhattan madness.

Looking for somewhere not too crowded, maybe music later on? Possibly showing coverage of times square??

My vote is head to Park Slope where, after dinner, you should walk up to Prospect Park and witness one great fireworks show at midnight. It's a fantastic party. Pick up the local paper for ads showing the myriad deals offered at restaurants.

Most of the nicer or hipper Park Slope restaurants are fully booked for dinner tonight. Tempo is doing a late seating with champagne toast at midnight and everything. But it's booked. To go more casual, try one of the big bar/restaurants like oh what's that one on 5th Avenue between Union and Sackett/Berkeley. They have TV's because they're a sports bar. But go early so you can get a table.

My plan is to crawl under the bed and cry, then take a sleeping pill, crawl back onto the bed, and sleep until January 2nd.
