upgrade cabinets... by replacing doors?
It's time for a major kitchen upgrade. I'd like to upgrade the cabinets, but don't particularly need to change their types or locations. Could I paint the cabinets and just replace the doors and drawer faces? Where could I get them?
As is probably often the case, there's nothing structurally wrong with the cabinets. You'd think this would be a common need.

repainting would save you a ton of money and also just replace the handles too :).
it would look updated with just a slight change.

I used a wonderful guy (carpenter) who does this sort of thing and is not too expensive if you wanted to get some made, let me know,

I think there is an entire industry specializing in this. If you googled (or looked in the yellow pages) under kitchen cabinet "refacing" you would find people who replace just the doors and drawer fronts. Not sure what the quality would be.

Redid my kitchen in Manhattan coop with replacement doors from http://www.maplecraftusa.com
Worked like a charm, redid the whole kitchen and new homedepot countertop for less than $1,000, looked like a new kitchen
Reccomend making very careful measurements, get them pre drilled and new correct hinges.
Also reccomend replacing the faucet as this is a good bang for buck
Good luck

You can also try www.newdoors.com. Depending on your look (all white, not solid wood), this may be a good option.
