Reno/Idea Magazines?
I am looking for suggestions for, say, magazines (or other sources) that might offer ideas for renovating my historic PSlope coop. In other words, the perfect magazine would be called Small Late 19th Century Urban Residence Monthly" Any suggestions?

The Old House Journal (was founded by park slope brownstoners), This Old House. Both have websites.

I like both Old House Journal and This Old House mags but neither are fitting for apartment life in my opinion. They all feature huge houses in more rural/suburban areas that have loads of space.
You pretty much have to scan all the mags and take what you can from each.

Try Old House Journal Interiors, too. I would also suggest British magazines such as Homes and Interiors, Interiors, British House and Gardens and there are many more, including some specifically geared to period homes. They are available at Barnes and Noble, Borders and Universal News shops across the city. As Mrs. Limestone said, you will have to scan and see what interests you, but these all usually have more apts in 19th century buildings, because that is a majority of the housing stock.

someone HAS to do a book on brownstones - they are all over the country - at least the NE so there would be general appeal. Brownstoner? I think it would do so well do have sections on layouts, kitchens, outdoor spaces etc.
