Recycling Fluorescent Light Bulbs?
Does anyone have any information on where I can recycle fluorescent tubes? I know that I can take them out to the DSNY Special Waste Drop Off Site in Gravesend, but that's a long haul for me. Are there any other options in Brooklyn that anyone is aware of?

Try calling Home Depot, Lowes or your local hardware stores. In some places they'll take back non-trashable items like these bulbs or batteries.

Call 3R Living on 5th Ave. (718) 832-0951. They recycle many types of items. If they don't take bulbs, they'll probably be able to direct you to someone who does.
