Lead Joints on Cast Iron

Does anyone know of any plumbers who service Bed Stuy who can/will do lead joints on cast iron?

I'm going to have to replace a section of my waste pipe and don't want them to use the rubber/aluminum fittings. I want lead.

Any suggestions?

I don't know if anyone could do this anymore. But why do you insist on having lead joints?

OP here - lead joints last for 100 years or so. Rubber and aluminum give out when it's least convenient. Why would you want to use an inferior material?

Especially on heavy-use portions like your main waste line.

I've seen it done before - it's not that difficult or complicated, but it is a specialty.

We don't use lead joints anymore because it's unhealthy to the plumbers doing the job.
The new materials are couplings made of neoprene and stainless steel. I've only seen them "give out" when in direct contact with oil.
