Keeping items in basement dry/palettes for sale?

I want to elevate some basement items in case our basement floods. Anyone know where I can get some palettes or other things to raise our furniture/boxes six inches or so?

Why does everyone instinctively reach into their pocket when faced with a simple need. Palettes are all over the place, and free. The owners want you to take them.
Get in your SUV or truck (or borrow one)on any Saturday or Sunday and go get them. Try down by the piers from Sunset Park to Red Hook to Greenpoint. Don't be shy. Load a couple in the back and go home. If you have trouble fitting one into the vehicle, or into the house, get a battery powered circular saw and alter as needed.
Save your bucks for the real needs.

A TRASHER FROM WAY BACK.

Sorry to be the spelling police, but it is pallet.
