house numbers
I'm looking to get house numbers painted on the glass above my door...can anyone recommend a person/company that does this sort of thing?

Try Eli at Sign Select (246.1144).His shop is located b/t 2nd and 3rd on 9th Street. He can paint gold leaf but it more practical for you to have the letters cut on gold foil with a black vinyl outline. You can adhere them to the glass easily- I do it all the time.

Jerry is an artist, a painter who has a sign business and has painted gold signs and numbers on stores and brownstones for years. He has been featured in numerous publications and he is professional and does impeccible work. He painted gold numbers on the transom above my doors and they look gorgeous. He works with gold leaf which requires skill. (Please be aware that he has a hearing disability but manages very well with it....)

Hi, I tried to send this before but got interrupted. It cost me about 400 bucks, which seems like a lot but he spent a lot of time with me, painted in three layers (inner was gold matte, surrounded by a strip of shiny gold leaf with a thin line of black around it.) They were 4 and a half inches high and the whole thing looks beautiful. Jerry worked very hard on the whole thing. You will like him. Good luck.
