High Efficiency Bulbs for High Hats

Ok -- so I know most of you hate high hats. But with 12 foot ceilings I needed the in my kitchen. Now, are there any high efficiency bulbs that are designed like floods for them? I have looked in the hardware store but zippo. Thanks.

Try www.bulbs.com and go to reflector type bulbs.

They make flourescent flood lights, if that's what you mean by high efficiency. Home Depot, Lowe's, whoever, has them.

You can get super-efficient LED lights (12w=75w), bloody expensive but last 50,000 hours (forever) which screw into regular recessed 6" cans (4" cans coming soon.) Dimmable. http://www.llfinc.com/residential.htm

Flourescent flood lights are great if you don't mind a 1/2-1 min. wait for full brightness. Dimmable lamps are $20-30, I think.

There is a place on 39th & Ft. Hamilton, I think it is called Lamp Warehouse, which sells the bulbs you are looking for
