Garbage Disposal

I'm considering installing a batch garbage disposal. I've heard arguments for and against regarding the environmental impact of food waste going into the sewer. Anyone informed on this issue?

IMO, food waste treated as sewage is much more eco friendly than the same food sitting trapped in nonbiodegradable plastic garbage bag in a landfill...

Are you installing it in the shower? Yeah, that's right.

My understanding is that they sort through the sludge at the sewerage plant, and the food ends up going to landfill in any event. So you're just wasting water and power by putting it down the disposal unit when it all ends up in the same place. Definitely not an environmentally friendly option.

By the time it goes through the garbage disposer and out your waste line it is liquified. How do they "sort through" liquid waste and put it in a land fill?

is that a joke 12:14? and then they seperate the poop from the food too?

12:14 ... you are a stone cold fool.

I nominate you to be the food sludge - poop sludge skimmer.

What happens to diarrhea?
