Eames Lounge Chairs

I have three Eames Lounge chairs that I need to get rid of. They are brand new (IN THE BOX), authentic Herman Miller. I will sell each for 2700 + shipping (generally list between 3300-3500).

I would ask that you inquire ONLY if you are serious. Email is the best way to contact me: scott@beardsleewaites.com

footstools included?

Yes, Ottomans included. I believe that DWR has these listed for 3254 (plus tax, but free shipping). meaning that the final price would be about 3460. I suspect it will be about 100 to ship (maybe less), so these would be 660 less than the cheapest you could find in retail. Like I said, brand new, in the box

Pesky client change their mind?

Silly rich people ... spend $10k on 3 chairs, don't match rug, have architect sell on Browstoner.

Must be nice.

What color are they?

Posted by: guest at November 14, 2007 11:54 AM

(1) Cherry and Black, (2) Walnut and Black. I have access to at least two more, and these would be of your choosing (meaning ANY color and finish that is available from Herman Miller, I could get. I could be persuaded to lower the price, and could REALLY be persuaded if someone bought more than one. These will be shipped directly from Herman Miller to your door (meaning it may take 3-4 weeks).

Were you the same guy who tried to sell me stereo speakers from the back of your van in the Home Depot parking lot?

Were you the same guy that my uncle drove around in the little short bus? Perhaps you should find less adult things to do with your time. It's a pretty simple concept (see above), if you are not serious, please do not waste my time.

I don't understand. Why are you selling these if they are still at Herman Miller's warehouse? Why won't they just take them back, Mr. Archimatect?

Who ever said anything about taking them back? I believe the scenario you are speaking of ("rich client purchases chair...doesn't like....returns"), only exists in your mind. I do not see any place in this ad where I indicated THAT is what is going on.

I get a discount as a designer. Periodically, when buying some furniture for my home or office, I offer a handful of pieces to friends and/or family (usually about 3). Most of my friends and family have already taken advantage (in the past), so I am offering it to the "general public". I sell the pieces at a small markup (over my discount) to pay for my time and help discount the pieces I will buy further. The people that buy the additional pieces get them at a 20% (+) discount....win, win for everybody

Does that help? Again, if you are not interested, you simply need not pay it any mind....that is a pretty simply concept.

so you're scamming Herman Miller.

Posted by: guest at November 15, 2007 2:29 PM

No I am not scamming Herman Miller. Anything I do (as far as buying products under my designer discount) are 100% on the up and up. ANYTIME I purchase ANY products from ANY manufacturer they know exactly what is going on.

If I have furniture shipped directly to someones home (which is not MY home or office), common sense would seem to dictate that they know the score.

BTW, what is your problem. Honestly, do you have nothing better to do? Are you bitter? Did an architect steal your girlfriend, or spit on your car..lol. Jesus, give it a rest man.
